1 single baked pie crust
2 tbsp mini chocolate chips (approx)
1 lg box instant chocolate fudge pudding mix
2 ½ cups milk
1 sm extra creamy Cool Whip

Bake a single crust pie. While pie crust is still hot, sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Allow to cool. Do not spread melted chocolate across the bottom or it won’t cut later.

When cool, mix pudding mix and milk. Pour about ½ of the mixture into the bottom of the pie crust.

Gently fold about 1 cup of Cool Whip into the remaining pudding. Place this mixture on top of the chocolate layer and refrigerate.

Add additional Cool Whip when serving.

You can substitute a chocolate oreo crust and omit the chocolate chips.
