 1 cup margarine, softened
 1 ½ cups sugar
 2 eggs
 2 ¾ cups flour
 2 tsp cream of tartar
 1 tsp baking soda
 ¼ tsp salt
 2 tbsp sugar
 2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Mix margarine, sugar and eggs until thoroughly combined.

Sift together and mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts and roll in the 2 T sugar and 2 t cinnamon. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned but still soft.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
